Scott Zauber is the managing partner of the law offices of Subranni Zauber LLC.

Scott is active in the Bankruptcy Law Section of the New Jersey State Bar Association, and has lectured for the New Jersey Institute for Continuing Legal Education, the National Business Institute (NBI) and the Burlington and Camden County Bar Associations on a regular basis since 2002.

In 2014, he received the highest rating of AV under the Martingale Hubbell Attorney Peer Review system.

Professional Affiliations
Scott is admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey, and all New Jersey state courts. In addition, he has appeared in bankruptcy courts throughout New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania and Delaware.

He is a member of the New Jersey Bankruptcy Inn of Court, where he serves as an assistant director and participates as a Master. He is also a member of various state and local bar associations.

Honors and Awards
Scott’s contribution to the development of a financial education program by South Jersey Legal Services in Atlantic City earned the law firm an Equal Justice Award in 2005 from New Jersey Legal Services.

In 2013, the firm received the law firm award from the New Jersey State Bar Associations Pro-Bono Award based upon Scott’s efforts with pro-bono service.

He was selected as a New Jersey “Super Lawyer Rising Star” by Law and Politics magazine in 2006 through 2016.

Scott was selected by the New Jersey court system to be on the District III Fee Arbitration panel for a term 4-year term from 2011 to 2015.

Scott has devoted considerable time to the Rutgers Camden School of Law Bankruptcy Pro-Bono program since 2004 and was selected to join the Steering Committee for the program in 2012. He is currently serving as the managing/supervising attorney for the 2016-2017 school year.

Scott was also selected as a mediator in the new bankruptcy mediation program in 2014 and is on the court approved list for mediators.

In 2015, Scott was selected to be on the Board of Directors for the New Jersey Bankruptcy Law Foundation.

Scott has spent significant time in the past 15 years representing bankruptcy trustees and state court receivers in a multitude of matters in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, New York and Delaware.

Scott has served as either Trustee’s counsel or special counsel in matters such as:

  • NWL (National Wholesale Liquidators) in Delaware,
  • HPA in Delaware,
  • Tri-State Armored Services in New Jersey,
  • Getty Gas/Oil (special counsel to the liquidation trust)
  • Atlantic City Housing Urban Renewal Associates, L.P. in New Jersey.

He has represented a significant Casino industry entity as a creditor in the Tropicana/Adamar proceedings in both Delaware (2008) and NJ (2009), the 2004, 2009, 2014 Trump NJ/DE proceedings, Revel I and II in NJ, Atlantic Club 2013) in NJ, Indianapolis Downs (2011) in DE and the Caesars Entertainment cases in 2015. Scottís representation spans from individual debtors to large corporations in cases filed under chapters 7, 11, and 13 of the Bankruptcy Code.

He was a contributing author to the New Jersey Institute for Continuing Legal Educationís 2005 Bankruptcy Volume, and a co-editor of the 2006-2007 version and the 2009 version, which both included substantial revisions addressing the significant changes to bankruptcy law enacted by Congress in 2005.

Community Service
Scott started serving on a campaign cabinet for the United Way of Greater Philadelphia-Burlington County in 2015 and chaired the cabinet in 2016. He began to serve as a board member in 2016 and was instrumental in selecting the United Way as the preferred charity for Subranni Zauber, LLC.

Scott is a proud graduate of Atlantic City High School, Richard Stockton College and Rutgers University School of Law-Camden.
